While driving to Palm Springs today for a meeting, I took a little trip to the past by listening to the Disco station on Pandora! As I came around the bend from the Morongo Casino, the familiar billboard signs loomed in the distance. I’m always intrigued by billboards. Probably my marketing background! Yet, my curiosity was pleasantly surprised when I saw this billboard, and it got me thinking…

How can we free our minds as gay men?

Stop believing that we have to be perfect
Quit trying so hard to fit in and gain acceptance
Let go of the past, stop worrying about the future, and just be
Ask ourselves, “How much fun is it always being in our head?”
Try just 15 minutes in the morning, afternoon, and evening to completely let go
It’s really not that difficult if you give yourself permission to “free your mind.”
