You’ll never make a bold move, take that risk, or do what you say you’re going to do unless you just say, screw it, good enough is good enough. But why do we not let that truly be our mantra? Why can’t we just say I’m going to take action, do what needs to be done and go for it?
Back again with wisdom and insights on everything from diversity, inclusion, life, comedy, and hair color, is my friend Jessica Pettitt. She’s not holding back and she’s the master of Good Enough Now. She’s not going to let you stay stuck, waiting for someday, nor going to listen to your “Let’s wait and see” excuses. She’s right there with me about making bold moves and stepping into living your life uncloseted, even if that life isn’t quite good enough now!
* Quote: Do the best you can with what you’ve got some of the time
* When something scares the crap out of you, you’ve got to do it
* No matter how much control you think you have, out of control still occurs
Jessica Pettitt, M.Ed., CSP, pulls together her stand up comedy years with 15+ years of diversity training’s in a wide range of organizations to serve groups to move from abstract fears to actionable habits that lead teams to want to work together. With a sense of belonging and understanding, colleagues take more risks with their ideation, conserve precious resources through collaboration, and maintain real connections with clients over time.
