Older You…Younger You…Why Won't You Listen?
Remember when Mom or Dad would say, “Why don’t you listen to me?” Or, cranky Mr. Batwiser would grab you by the ear in science class and yell into your ear, “Are you listening?” And of course, who can forget the Verizon guy’s infamous “Can you hear me now?” commercials. Yet with all these reminders around us, asking us to listen, the older we get, doesn’t necessarily mean the wiser we are about listening!
As we end the week, I’m inviting you to do three things.
- Listen to the child within and go play.
- Listen to the spirit of spontaneity and take a risk
- Listen to the wisdom of your years but never forget to be curious
